And the Venue for HW19 is….

We are very excited to announce the venue for the 2019 Happy Workplaces Conference!

Hi, we are Happy

We are leading a movement to create happy, empowered and productive workplaces.

How can we help you and your people to find joy in at least 80% of your work?

The conference will be held on 13th June at the Light in Friends House. This beautiful venue is directly opposite Euston Station in central London, and just a stone’s throw away from King’s Cross and St Pancras station.

The Light is an award-winning contemporary arts space, and is flooded with natural light from the skylight above. We chose the venue not only for its beautiful open space, but because it is also fully sustainable. Friends House uses 100% renewable energy and has a zero waste policy, which they have achieved year-on-year.

In addition, the Light is fully accessible, incorporating the highest specification for accessible spaces in the capital. It also has designated on-street parking bays for blue badge holders outside the venue, which has been requested by attendees in the past.

About the Happy Workplaces Conference

At the conference, we will welcome speakers from a variety of different organisations across all sectors who have implemented ideas from the Happy Manifesto and have focused on creating a happy workplace. Our speakers will give real examples of how they have achieved high engagement as well as the benefits this has given to the organisation’s bottom line – improved productivity, improved finances and reduced costs.

The optional second day of the event, the masterclass, will be held at Happy’s training centre in Aldgate, as in previous years. This optional event is hosted by Henry Stewart, Founder and Chief Happiness Officer at Happy, and is restricted to just 20 people.

The masterclass focuses on the practical ways that you can create a happy workplace, and will help you to develop your own personal action plan to implement back in the office.

As always, both days will be full of practical discussion, interaction and networking – you will leave feeling inspired, energised and full of ideas!

Tickets are currently available at a Super Early Bird price of just £195 + VAT per person for the conference, and £375 + VAT for both the conference and masterclass. Book your place before 31st December to secure our lowest price.

Feedback from last year’s event

Here are just some of the comments we had following this year’s event:

  • “Challenged my thinking, rather than giving me information.”
  • “Some fab and very inspiring speakers… Lots of ideas which I can take and apply at my workplace. A very happy day!”
  • “Thank you for an inspiring and enjoyable day on Thursday; I loved it! The speakers were full of great insight and the day was packed with fun moments which made for a thoroughly happy day.”

And finally, Nikki Gatenby, Managing Director of Propellernet and one of our speaker’s last year, said the conference was “unlike any other”. “We must have talked to at least 90% of the people in the room with the mix of speed networking, speaker questions for table discussions, break-out sessions and quick-fire breaks. If anyone is putting on a conference in the near future, have a chat with team Happy, I’m sure they would help you elevate the day and enable ever attendee to come away raving about it” – which is fantastic praise!

Speakers at the conference on day one

We will be announcing speakers over the next few weeks. At this year’s conference we welcomed speakers from John Lewis, Woohoo! Inc, the Belgian Ministry of Social Security and Kingfisher PLC to the stage – and the 2019 event will be no different!

How to buy your ticket

We are offering our lowest Super Early Bird tickets for the first 15 buyers or until 31st December. Super Early Bird tickets for the conference are available at just £195 + VAT per person, and £375 + VAT if you would like to join us for both the conference and the masterclass.
